For a short time Gibson collaborated with Baldwin to produce a range of introductory level guitars, mainly for students, based on Gibson’s ubiquitous Les Paul.

These instruments were designed and licensed by Gibson and used some Gibson parts, but were manufactured by Baldwin.

This example of this line is a great instrument, complete with two humbucker pickups, a 3-way selector switch, tone and volume controls for both pickups individually, and a tune-o-matic style fixed bridge with a wrap-around style tailpiece.
